ABOUT US

Cape Verdean Women United (CVWU), Inc. is a non-profit 501 c (3) organization committed to providing health and wellness awareness, violence prevention education, and resources to empower our communities. Founded on July 8, 2016, in Brockton, MA, we have been successful in collaborating with partner organizations, that share our vision, of bringing culturally appropriate educational programs to all. CVWU encourages, empowers, and supports families to take a more active role in our communities through volunteerism, community, and civic engagement. At CVWU, we also extend our mission to help underserved communities across the globe. Our clinical volunteers have partnered with dentists and other providers to offer care and education, free of charge, to over 500 individuals in Cape Verde. Future missions will focus on mental health awareness and culturally appropriate toolkits for community members.
