Raising a City of Champions (RACC)
Raising a City of Champions (RaCC) is a family-centered, trauma-informed program that supports youth and caregivers impacted by exposure to family and community violence. Informed by the SURVIVE Community Project and other evidence-based models serving urban communities, RaCC strengthens resilience, healing, and healthy family relationships.

Through a structured, multi-session format, families build awareness of how violence and trauma affect emotional well-being and behavior while gaining practical tools to support communication, stability, and connection at home. Sessions are interactive and reflective, creating safe spaces for learning, growth, and shared understanding.

RaCC is facilitated by multilingual, community-based professionals who bring cultural awareness and lived experience to the work. The program addresses topics such as trauma and stress, self-care, healthy communication, conflict resolution, and violence prevention. A youth-centered version of RaCC is also available, supporting young people in building emotional awareness and healthy coping skills.

Together, RaCC helps families strengthen protective factors and raise a generation grounded in empathy, resilience, and safety.
