Mental Health Awareness & Educational Forums

CAPE VERDEAN WOMEN UNITED

Working Towards a Brighter Future

We believe in empowering our communities to take a more active role in addressing the tough challenges that we face today.

WHAT WE DO

Making A Difference

By collaborating with local organizations that share our priorities, and utilizing existing resources, Cape Verdean Women United is committed to building community-wide resilience. We are unique in that we strive to bring a more culturally appropriate approach to sharing information and resources.

MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS AND EDUCATIONAL FORUMS

With this initiative, our goal is to reduce stigma and bring resources and information, in various languages to those in need. With access to culturally appropriate information and resources, people are more likely to engage in services. Learn more about our work by getting in touch with our team today!

VIOLENCE PREVENTION WORKSHOPS

With our organizations mission always in mind we strive to find new strategies for addressing this public health issue. Our Raising a City of Champions workshop or RACC, works with parent and children to tackle issues of violence in our city and how to stay safe. Contact us to learn more about our commitment to this cause.

WOMEN’S SUPPORT GROUP

Held at the Cape Verdean Association of Brockton, this weekly group serves as a drop in center where women are welcomed to talk about issues they are dealing with, in a supportive, safe, and judgment free environment. We share our stories, resources, and build friendships.
